look if people wanna join a project like the Website League there’s literally nothing I or anyone else can do to stop you, so don’t take this criticism as me being like “you absolutely cannot do this” etc. I’m not your parent do what you want with your internet. but I’ve seen a lot of internet projects rise and fall over the years and the amount of load-bearing “dude just trust me” emanating from the project’s founding document has me very concerned for the well-being of anyone who signs up to be a member or moderator or admin etc.
