Boy howdy this post has a lot of notes.
To address a couple key points:
- People are bringing up valid historical examples of times when religious zealotry was codified into law in the form of sodomy laws, anti-sex toy regulations, and so on. These are all absolutely well-taken points.
- Where I was coming from by saying “conservatives are going after normie sex now” is related to the fact that they’ve spent two straight years demonizing and pedojacketing trans people, drag shows, books by queer people and the mere existence of queer and trans teachers and kids. “Now” they’re turning an eye to repro rights; “now” they’re turning to banning internet porn; “now” they’re generating outrage against dildos being sold at Target. This is the next step in their current campaign of sexual totalitarianism, but it’s nothing new historically.
- Nothing will be as funny as the dildo Ferris wheel to me; good job. But also the Supreme Court should be abolished
- TERFs, SWERFs, Radfems and other conservatives: die mad forever
