This ska-punk band hailing from Curitiba, Paraná in Brazil grows considerably between “Welcome” (2018) and “Make Yourself At Home,” (2021) but the most striking thing is the difference in polish between them. The ska is bouncier, the punk is cleaner, and the lyrics are a bit more singularly hopeful for the future on “Make Yourself At Home.” It lies closer on the ska-punk spectrum to an act like Less Than Jake than, say, “Welcome’s” more hardcore sensibilities. There’s even what I’d call a “Masked Intruder Vibe” in the melodies and harmonies that run through “Make Yourself At Home.” Still, both albums are bops. Would recommend.
