Net neutrality is kind of a joke tbh. Especially because FOSTA/SESTA just proved that the government – run by idiots with zero knowledge of how the internet works – has far more control over it now than corporations do.
Y’all over here afraid that your ISP bill is going to change, and meanwhile, at the mere mention of changes to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, the most powerful corporations in the world changed their terms of service to force sex workers and smut peddlers off their platforms and the FBI raided and closed Backpage, which had an international reach and put people in even more danger.
I’m not saying everyone who supported net neutrality are silly for doing so, but it’s already a lost cause and it’s like nobody even realized it.
